Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC Release Moved Up — Plus Two Brand-New Mega Evolutions Revealed

Nintendo just dropped a massive surprise for Pokémon fans. The Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC is coming sooner than expected, and it’s bringing two brand-new Mega Evolutions that no one saw coming.

Originally planned for a February release, the Mega Dimension DLC will now arrive this December, giving players something big to look forward to this holiday season.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC Release Moved Up — Plus Two Brand-New Mega Evolutions Revealed

Mega Chimecho & Mega Baxcalibur Make Their Grand Debut

The new DLC will introduce Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur, two Pokémon that have never had Mega forms before. Fans are already hyped, and for good reason — both designs are rumored to look incredible, and they could completely change how players build their battle teams.

Nintendo hasn’t revealed everything yet, but if this announcement is anything to go by, we can expect even more Mega Evolutions to be revealed soon.

Leaks Are Looking More Accurate Than Ever

Pokémon leaks have been floating around for months, and this new reveal just gave them serious credibility. Both Chimecho and Baxcalibur were included in an earlier Mega Dimension leak, which now looks spot-on.

That same leak also listed a ton of other Pokémon rumored to get new Mega forms, including:
Absol, Staraptor, Garchomp, Lucario, Heatran, Darkrai, Golurk, Meowstic, Crabominable, Golisopod, Magearna (and its Original Color form), Zeraora, Scovillain, Glimmora, and Tatsugiri’s three forms.

If these turn out to be true, fans could be in for some of the coolest Mega designs ever — and maybe even multiple Mega forms for certain Pokémon like Garchomp.

Fan Favorites & Legendary Megas Are on the Horizon

What’s really getting fans talking are the potential Mega Evolutions for Legendaries like Heatran and Darkrai, plus Mythicals such as Magearna and Zeraora. These Pokémon already have stunning designs, so Mega versions could take them to a whole new level.

Of course, not every Mega design has been a hit in the past — Mega Victreebel still divides fans — but if Mega Froslass from the base game is anything to go by, expectations are sky-high.

Should You Believe the Hype?

Sure, these leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt. But given that the base game leaks were spot-on, fans have good reason to believe more Mega Evolutions are coming.

Right now, Mega Dimension is the only confirmed DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most exciting expansions in the franchise’s history.
